Equipson launches new training videos

A new training programme designed to teach stage technicians the safest way to operate telescopic and front loading lifters has been introduced at WFX 2019 by Spanish company Equipson, which manufactures Work Pro Lifters.

Equipson has produced a series of 15 videos, voiced in English and Spanish, that demonstrate how safety issues can be avoided by following the correct procedures. These videos, which range in length from three to ten minutes, cover topics such as setting up, elevating, mounting and descending telescopic and front loading lifters, how to safely move a telescopic lifter, how to mount a line array on a front loading lifer and how WireDrive works as well as how to rectify wire mistakes.

Equipson’s videos, which are free to view and hosted on the company’s own Work Pro Lifters YouTube channel at www.youtube.com/channel/UCv9FmFrBRbtoMsB6akhfrEQ/videos, are aimed at a wide range of staging operatives, from those working in theatres and Houses of Worship through to those operating in a live touring environment.

In conjunction with its US distributor Etnia Pro, Equipson showed its own range of telescopic and front loading lifters, trusses, cables and accessories at WFX, which took place in Orlando, Florida from September 17-19, 2019.

"This is just the beginning of our commitment to training,” says Juan Jose Vila, CSO of Equipson. “We are also planning to introduce knowledge tests and a certification program for those who want to be recognized as a lifter operator and to have tangible proof of their own skill level.”
