Amate Audio adds new line array system to its Xcellence series

The X212AF - the latest addition to Amate Audio’s Xcellence series - is a 2x 12” full range, high performance, 3-way active line array, featuring a V-shape cabinet that delivers 100° horizontal coverage and 8° vertical coverage.

Complementing the dual 12” LF drivers, are four 6” mid range drivers and two 3” HF neodymium drivers mounted on a proprietary waveguide. Latest 3rd generation Class-D integrated amplification delivers 4000 W of power and the system launches Amate Audio’s next generation DSP platform, providing control capabilities.

FIR filtering provides enhanced performance parameters including improved phase alignment and minimal latency. Separate limiters, with differing time constants, are available to the LF, MF and HF system elements, housed within discrete enclosures of the X212AF’s cabinet geometry.

On-board system delay extends to more than 100 meters. A range of parametric EQ options are provided. Ethernet connectivity enables remote system control, configuration and monitoring via Amate Audio’s DSPStudio application, and the system features onboard support of Dante AoIP networking.

A series of DSP and power control presets enables rapid setup and deployment of X212AF arrays comprising different array configurations; from the minimum six elements to the optimum performance configurations of eight and above.

These presets include optimised performance parameters for systems that incorporate the matched X218WF sub-woofer system. These are selectable via a rear panel mounted 3.5” TFT touch screen, which also provides visual monitoring of essential system performance and protection parameters.

A bass reflex design, the X218WF deploys 2x 18” LF neodymium drivers with 4” double-layer voice coils, within a sub system that integrates the same acoustic geometry design principles of the X212AF. 5000 W of Class-D amplification, next generation DSP system management, Ethernet control and Dante connectivity mirror the operational specifications of the X212AF line array.
