The Blackpool Illuminations is home to the first permanent projection mapped show in the UK, scheduled to run for the full two months/66 day Illuminations period each year from now on. LightPool is a collaboration between London-based Ross Ashton and The Projection Studio who storyboarded and created the content, and Edinburgh based War Productions who’s Alistair Young produced the technical design and supplied the hardware and control.

Clay Paky lights up Frankfurt's bridges on German Unification Day

The official celebrations to mark the 25th anniversary of the reunification of Germany took place in Frankfurt am Main. In honor of the occasion, a lighting installation designed by Sven Sören Beyer and Björn Hermann illuminated 25 bridges across the Main as part of a light show on October 3. For the technical side of things, they relied on products from Clay Paky, an Osram subsidiary.

Audio-Technica debuts AT-One wireless system at InfoComm MEA

Audio-Technica has shown its UHF wireless system, the AT-One, for the first time at InfoComm MEA at the Dubai World Trade Center between 19-22 October (Audio-Technica was hosted by its UAE distributor VV & Sons). The AT-One’s frequency plan is divided into two groups, with four available channels in each group split between the Europe-wide license-free frequency range and the LTE duplex gap.

Drei norwegische Flughäfen wurden unlängst mit Absen-Technologie ausgestattet. Unter Verwendung des Panels AI03 mit 3,9 mm Pixelabstand wurde eine 57 Quadratmeter große Leinwand in der Gepäckankunftshalle im Flughafen Stavanger installiert; eine weitere 20 Quadratmeter große Leinwand wurde in der Abflughalle in Bergen aufgestellt, während eine sieben Quadratmeter große Leinwand in der Gepäckankunftszone im Flughafen Trondheim angebracht wurde. Die Inhalte auf jedem Bildschirm werden von einem Computer und einer Grafikkarte mit vier DVI-Ausgängen gesteuert.

Beim dänischen Roskilde Festival, dem größten Musik-Festival Nordeuropas, führten Leopard-Beschallungssysteme ein Line-up von mehr als 200 Meyer Sound-Lautsprechern an. Die Leopard-Systeme der Rising Stage wurden von Comtech aus Glostrup bereitgestellt und umfassten Main Arrays aus je zwölf Leopard Line Array-Lautsprechern und zwei end-fired Arrays aus je sechs 900-LFC-Elemente.

Am 13. Juni 2015 hat die European Web Video Academy (EWVA) in Düsseldorf die besten Webvideos des Jahres mit dem Deutschen Webvideopreis ausgezeichnet. Die Preisverleihung wurde erstmals live im Fernsehen übertragen. Die MMC Studios waren dabei als Generalunternehmer für den Bühnenbau sowie für die technische Produktion und Live-Übertragung der Gala zuständig.
