Six new products for Ayrton at LDI 2015

Ayrton will be bringing six new products to LDI 2015, all which have been launched this year, and will be presented on the stand of Ayrton’s exclusive US distributor, Morpheus Lights.

Magic Dot-R and Cosmo Pix-R are part of the Creative Solutions line, into which Ayrton has incorporated a totally new technology: the first 94 mm diameter narrow beam angle collimator combined with the latest generation high-power (40 W or 60 W) Osram multichip LED that create tighter beams with an unrivalled centre beam intensity.

Magic Dot-R has proved an unbelievable hit from the moment it was released and is currently appearing on the Foo Fighters international tour. The latest member of the Radical series, Magic Dot-R is the first professional moving head LED luminaire with a single optical collimator. The new high-efficiency 94 mm diameter optical system uses a brand new 60 W RGBW multichip LED with a light-emitting surface of 8 mm2 that delivers an intense 4.5° beam with a central beam intensity of 180.000 candelas.

Lightning fast and exhibiting the Creative Solutions’ continuous pan and tilt rotation, Magic Dot-R’s totally round head fits within the diameter of its cylindrical base in all positions to allow bold new configurations with barely a centimeter of space between two luminaires. The entire unit weighs in at only 5,3 kg.

Cosmo Pix-R has sparked the imagination from dance halls to television shows. Cosmo Pix-R is an entirely new luminaire based on the concept of the famous PAR 36 double-rotation spheres that date back to the early ‘80s. Using the latest technology, Ayrton has revamped this legendary product design, and endowed it with a continuous combination of potential effects. This little powerhouse takes 12 of the highly efficient new 94 mm optics and generates 12 shafts of coloured light that can be separately controlled in all directions and driven in continuous pan and tilt rotation to create exhilarating, original effects. Cosmo Pix-R has extended series connectivity and can be controlled by DMX-RDM, Art-Net or with a wireless DMX-RDM link via a new generation TiMo module by Ayrton partner, LumenRadio.

Versa Pix-RS, the third new member of the Creative solutions line, puts Ayrton’s new 94 mm diameter optics in combination with a 4 mm2 40 W RGBW multichip to produce five 3.5° beams (the narrowest in Ayrton’s portfolio) with a record-breaking central beam intensity of 200 candela per lumen. This makes the new Versa Pix-RS three times more powerful than the original Versa Pix, with a central beam intensity six times greater than before. Truly spectacular 3D volumetric effects can be achieved with this Ultra Radical development. The cooling system for the three new products is also a wonder of technology: a new copper circuit board on the heat pipe along with a one-piece aluminium heat sink allows better, more efficient thermal conduction.

LDI also marks the US premiere of Dream Panel-Shift and DreamPanel-Twin, two exciting new moving head fixtures developed from the inspiration behind Ayrton’s original innovative DreamPanel Series.

Finally, Ayrton’s Automated Luminaires range has been expanded to encompass the Wild Sun-K 25 which will be shown for the first time in the US at LDI 2015.
